Journey 2 Africa 3 2027 tour seeks to complete a story that history has too often left unfinished.
Participants will stand before the pyramids that testify to African genius. They will walk through Ghana’s Cape Coast Castle Door of No Return, where millions began an unimaginable journey across the Atlantic. They will engage with historians, elders, artists, scholars, spiritual leaders, and contemporary changemakers whose work continues to preserve Africa’s living legacy.
These encounters are not simply educational—they are transformational.
Through dialogue, ceremony, artistic exchange, reflection, and documentary storytelling, participants will experience a collective process of remembrance, healing, and cultural renewal. The journey affirms that reconciliation begins with truth, and that truth creates the possibility for restoration.
The experience will be documented through film, photography, podcasts, educational resources, public exhibitions, and digital storytelling, ensuring that the lessons of the journey extend far beyond those who travel.

In its seventh year, Juneteenth Reckoning with Slavery film series is enhanced with educational and cultural immersive Journey 2 Africa tours. Journey 2 Africa 3: The Making of America tour expands the conversation beyond remembrance toward reconnection and healing.
The making of America began in Africa. The future of America depends upon remembering it. Journey 2 Africa 3 connects the past to the present. The African diaspora in America occupy a unique position in this country. They are unique because they come through a deliberate process of erasure, and came out on the other side stripped from their conscious awareness a sense of cultural continuity. As a people we have difficulty uniting and coming together in consensus to act in the interest of our people. This difficulty called the erasure principle, removed us from cultural language that gave us power to speak with a voice of collective wisdom. For example, the erasure principle made us afraid of Africa and Africans.
The Juneteenth Reckoning with Slavery film, The Making of America, tells the story how systems of knowledge created the framework for enslavement, indigenous dispossession and land seizure during the Enlightenment-era. This system is still in place today. The erasure principle today drives our souls to seek knowledge from the ancient ancestors.
It is in Egypt (Kemet), the black land, that we reconnect as a people. Egypt holds the most authentic knowledge of self, and the conscience of our organic unity. Eqypt represents spiritual centering for all people of the African diaspora. It is through this spiritual centering that we reconnect fully with our origins as we begin the process of rebuilding and unlearning.
