EVERYDAY PEOPLE TOUR HONORING SLY STONE

The Family Stone — the official touring band of Sly and the Family Stone — will  honor of the band’s legendary leader, Sylvester Stewart, known to the world as Sly Stone in a special series of shows in cities significant to Sly and the Family Stone’s history. The tour celebrates Sly’s musical genius and enduring legacy of uniting everyday people through a message of love, community, and togetherness that transcends generations. As the creators of some of the most sampled music in American history, Sly and the Family Stone’s timeless sound will continue to live in the hearts of everyday people forever.

The show tells the history of Sly and the Family Stone through music and content displayed on video screens.  The tour celebrates Sly Stone, who passed on June 9th and Cynthia Robinson, who is the first African American female lead in a major band and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.  Carrying the torch forward is powerhouse vocalist Phunne Stone— daughter of Cynthia Robinson and Sly Stone. Her electrifying performances honor her parents’ legacies while forging a bold path of her own.
